This was one of about 20 frames I shot with the Hasselblad H4D-40 during the helicopter flight on 19th December.
The H4D is a great camera but it's a CCD and that means awesome colours, amazing dynamic range but not great high ISO performance. The H5D-50C is much better in that department, with its CMOS sensor.
But, not bad..... for a camera that with the 100mm HC f/2.2 lens weighs in at about 8lbs.
Shooting from a chopper usually means 1/250th sec and above. With a lighter camera you can get away with a little less.
Great view. The Nikon D800E took over about three or four frames after this....
