Clink Street: Southwark, London

One of the first pictures from our trip back to the UK. We had spent a couple of hours at Borough Market and then walked through Southwark, past The Globe Theatre back to our friend's house in Pimlico. I really liked the view of St.Paul's Cathedral as I rounded this corner. This looked so different in colour and so much better in black and white that immediately I have a feeling that London, with its history and so drastically different feel to Tokyo, will be somewhere as suited to monochrome as Tokyo is to colour.

  1. Yes, an excellent shot. Great contrast and composition.

  2. I can't believe you held that much detail in the background without overexposing.
