Dogs on strings: Ikebukuro, Tokyo

Not a great fan of these little dogs but they are everywhere here in Tokyo, often being carried around in their owner's handbag. I even saw two stuffed into a guy's shirt once. Mad. This little fella was looking particularly gloomy despite being surrounded by the bright lights of the city. Maybe he longs for some wide-open green space to go running around in. And who would blame him? Mind you, he may also have caught a look at himself in the mirror.....

  1. Tis an ugly dog for sure. I imagine Japan and especially Tokyo as a place with little space. So it makes sense that the nipons would adopt the tiny muts. I hardly imagine a rottweiler living in one of those little apartment. NIce capture. Thanks, and congrats on your your taxi photo being published
