On my "let's have a walk and get creatively lost in Shinjuku" trip out the other afternoon, I ended up in Higashi-shinjuku. Hadn't been there before and found some great little places, shops and streets to wander and shoot. Dusk was falling and there was that magic time in Tokyo where the last of the daylight mixes with the artificial lights. It was intoxicating. This might look like any normal piece of Tokyo street but it was more like a film-set for me and I stayed in the same place for 30mins just watching, waiting and shooting the occasional frame.
Much, of course, to the amazement of the locals. :-)
