It pays to look down…..

Had been out playing with the ringflash for some night macros. Then got out the old faithfuls [the 85mm and the 50mm 1.2] and had a play with natural light.

Two-and-a-half hours had flown by... then I spotted this fella on the way home. Bang!! Another 35mins spent kneeling in the street trying to get a nice shot in a few different ways.

Lots of fun at the end of a pretty, busy, blossom-orientated weekend.

  1. Beautiful and perfect.

  2. Very Nice. especially with the iphone used as a lighting source!

  3. WOW.. Beautiful image, stunning composition, light, detail, and dof, I like everything here, compliments

  4. Wonderful! Gorgeous with the lights!

  5. Stunning shot, I think the best cherry blossom shot I've ever seen.

I can imagine you down on your knees for 35 minutes trying to get the shot just right, the time and effort paid off. Using your torch app to light it as well, brilliant.

Hope you're well and keeping busy.

  6. Stunning concept – the beautiful transience of spring

  7. This picture is really amazing. It looks so nice and lonely at the same time. There's no way to get this in a wallpaper size, isn't there? I would really love this as a wallpaper 🙂

  8. This really is superb – it just works!
