Momiji in Yoyogi Park: shot in December, 2010

One from a couple of years ago but which hasn't been posted before now. This was shot in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, right at the end of the display of momiji that year.

Love the way with this Mamiya 80mm f/1.9 lens - the fastest medium-format lens ever made - you got such dreamy bokeh. Focusing on some near leaves rendered the rest of the distant leaves as just a red wash over the tree-trunk and branches.

Gear?

  • Mamiya 645AFDii
  • Mamiya ZD digital back
  • Mamiya 80mm f/1.9 manual-focus lens
