Never has there been a year more suited to total concentration on family, friends, work and creativity.
The last thing I want to do from today is to go anywhere near the news. So it's a perfect time to concentrate on meaningful things.Things that are positive, constructive, forward-looking.
I've been in the studio quite a bit already this year: four times in fact. That's a lot for me. I usually tend to work on portraits and fashion in the outdoors. But it's cold and I have a friend who has a little studio that I discovered last year and in which, this year, I've decided to spend a lot more time.
There'll be news soon about classes there.
But, for now, here is a shot I made with a student's camera a few days ago, whilst I was teaching him some basic lighting techniques.
Nikon D800
Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 AF-S G
Two small speedlights in a softbox, on a boom, high and above the model.
