Had a very early morning photo-tour at Tsukiji Fishmarket to do this morning, which was interrupted along the way with a magnitude 6 earthquake, for which I was five-floors down on the subway. Very shaky, first time I have been IN the earth for an earthquake rather than ON it.
However, the visitor/students had a great time, we met some lovely people at the market and had a sushi breakfast at my favourite place out in the streets which border the market itself.
This octopus was all bagged-up and ready to go on the stall of a guy who gave us chairs to rest on whilst we waited for the torrential rain to stop, and who even bought us a drink and chocolate as well. I left him a few photo-postcards of mine and promised him a free copy of my Tsukiji book when it is out later this year. Lovely guy.
