The Cleaning Crew: Tokyo Station

When my son finished school today we - as we do when we are in the mood - headed off to Tokyo Station to watch the bullet-trains.

One shinkansen [bullet-train] had just left the platform and this lot - the cleaning crew - were waiting for the next train to arrive. At one end of the platform the boss of the crew stands with a stopwatch, timing the whole crew whilst they are on the train. The whole process is, like many things in Japan, a ballet: a poetry of well organised and co-ordinated motion.
