Had a lovely photowalk yesterday in preparation for a walk over the same route tomorrow, Saturday. There are some lovely quite backwater areas of Kamakura and this temple - Myohon-ji - is in one of them. On a public holiday in Japan, especially in Kamakura - which is both tourist-trap and getaway destination for day-trippers from Tokyo - getting away from the crowds and getting some peace is pretty hard. But, in the hour or two we spent shooting at this temple, about 20 people in total came through.
